Applications are invited to the post of Team Manager for the 2023 F9U World Drone Racing Championship, which will take place in Namwon, South Korea Oct 6–9 2023 – https://www.fai.org/news/wdrc-2023-korea
The successful applicant will have a good working knowledge of all aspects of the F9U class and the FAI Sporting Code.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Preparations ahead of the championship — i.e.: organising team uniform, team travel and accommodation, receiving and circulating notices and bulletins from the organisers
- Coaching the team on strategy — i.e.: understanding of the F9U rules and FAI Sporting Code, and supporting the team in applying them effectively
- Day-to-day management of the team during the event — i.e.: providing assistance and supporting the team with any disputes and protests during the competition, should they occur
*The British F9U Team Manager must also consent to a DBS check, given that there is a possibility that they will be responsible for at least one junior pilot at times during the event.
The ability to manage people in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication and good interpersonal skills are essential.
