Race Results Suffolk FPV QE

Suffolk FPV hosted a ‘British Championship Qualifying Event’ on Saturday over the bank holiday weekend. This was their first QE of the year and has both national & regional status. Overall the south east region has now hosted 3 regional races (1st Drone Base, 2nd EMHC) and this is also the 3rd ‘national’ classed event for the UK. Finals positions were Chris Knight in 1st place,  Alex Kubrak in 2nd and Brett Collis in 3rd place. Brett Collis was also the ‘Top Qualifyer’ so scores maximum points.

This race was both a regional and a national ‘British Championship Qualifying Event’ so points earned as a member of the BDRA will go to both leaderboards which will be updated shortly. These are the points awarded and the points system is based on your QUALIFYING position, if you are greyed out you were not a member of the BDRA at the time of the event.

Race Results EMHC QE

The second ‘British Championship’ race for the ‘South East’ region was held on Sunday 14th April and this time it was hosted by EMHC. Congratulations to Gary Kent on 1st place, Adam Gooch on 2nd and Alfie Mitchell on 3rd place in the finals. Qualifying positions are shown below.

This race was a south east regional ‘British Championship Qualifying Event’ so points earned as a member of the BDRA will go towards the south east regional leaderboard (Which will be updated shortly) These are the points awarded and the points system is based on your QUALIFYING position, if you are greyed out you were not a member of the BDRA at the time of the event.

Race Points Hull Rivals QE

Here are the official results for the first race in the northern region that was hosted in Hull on the 14th April. Congratulations to Brett Collis on 1st place, Harry Holmes on 2nd and Saul Irving on 3rd place. These pilots not only qualified in this order but also completed the ‘A’ Final in the same positions.

This race was both a North regional and a national ‘British Championship Qualifying Event’ so points earned as a member of the BDRA will go to both leaderboards. These are the points awarded and the points system is based on your QUALIFYING position, if you are greyed out you were not a member of the BDRA at the time of the event.

We have now had 2 ‘national’ classed events and congrats to Brett Collis on moving up to the number 1 position with his combined points from both races. The national leaderboard will be updated at some point today.

Race Points Wooly Sheep Race 1 QE

Another weekend has passed and another British Championship qualifying event this time with the Wooly Sheep. Congratulations to Gary Kent on 1st place, Brett Collis on 2nd place and Matthew Evans on 3rd place in the finals.

The TOP QUALIFYER on the day was the 2018 British Champion Leo Whitfield so he has been awarded maximum points and is at the top of the regional leaderboard.

This race was a South West regional ‘British Championship Qualifying Event’ so points earned as a member of the BDRA will go towards the South West regional leaderboard (over on www.bdra.uk) These are the points awarded and the points system is based on your QUALIFYING position, if you are greyed out you were not a member of the BDRA at the time of the event.

Scottish Series

The 1st of eight Scottish Series ‘British Championship Qualifying Events’ kicks off on the 21st April in Edinburgh. There are still a few spots left should you wish to participate. The best 8 pilots from the Scottish Series will be invited to participate at the 2019 British Championship. For this series we will be using the best 5 results from 8 races.

Race Points Laxton FPV QE

The second official race of the British Championship 2019 season was at Laxton FPV in the Midlands region on Sunday! Congratulations to Chris Knight on 1st place, Matthew Evans on 2nd and Ben Williamson on 3rd place. Not only did these 3 pilots qualify in these positions but they also finished the ‘A’ final in the exact order.

This race was a Midlands regional ‘British Championship Qualifying Event’ so points earned as a member of the BDRA will go towards the Midlands regional leaderboard. These are the points awarded and the points system is based on your QUALIFYING position, if you are greyed out you were not a member of the BDRA at the time of the event.

2019 British Championship Qualifying Events

The official BDRA events list has been updated with the some new events for the Northern region. You will always be able to find the most upto date listing over on our events section https://bdra.uk/calendar/ And of course registration information for each event will be posted over on ifpv.co.uk who more often than not also deal with the actual registration process (and BDRA entry fee discount) on behalf of the event organisers.

We at the BDRA are currently working out the best way to notify our members of when these event sign ups go live to give you the best chance of competing at an official ‘British Championship’ qualifyer!

Race Points Drone Base QE

The first official race of the season happened on Sunday at Drone Base in the South East region! Congratulations to Alfie Mitchell on overall 1st place, Gary Kent on 2nd and Daniel Peters on 3rd place.

A big shout out to Chris Knight for a great start to the season as TQ so currently number 1 UK pilot for 2019.

UK Drone Racing Open International

After lots of hard work by the committee we are pleased to officially announce that we will be hosting a FAI F9U World Cup in conjunction with the BMFA at their Nationals event on the 24th-25th August 2019 in Barkston Heath, Grantham. This is a great opportunity for drone racing pilots to qualify for the FAI World Championship that is being hosted in China at the end of the year. One of, if not the biggest event on the UK drone racing calendar for 2019 so be sure to keep on eye on registration details which will be announced on here and on our facebook page.
